The Culinary Event of the Year is Here!

This year, the 3rd Annual Jr. Iron Chef VT has grown to 57 teams of Vermont high school and middle school students.  More teams, more local ingredients, more awesome farm and food activities...you don't want to miss this delicious fun!

57 teams have registered for Jr. Iron Chef. This is our biggest year yet!

There are teams from across Vermont.

Good Luck and hope to see you there!

Jr Iron Chef VT is part of a robust Farm to School movement. Learn more about how farm to school programs are raising awareness about healthy food, the role of farms and farmers, and good nutrition in school communities across the state.

There are lots of ways to participate--sign up to volunteer, find out how to sponsor the event, and spread the word!
Iron Chef Logo Vermont FEED and Burlington School Food Project welcome students, families, farmers, foodies, teachers, food service providers, chefs, and policy makers to celebrate local food for healthy communities at Jr Iron Chef VT!

About Jr Iron Chef VT

Jr Iron Chef VT, hosted by the Burlington School Food Project and VT FEED, is a statewide competition that gives students an opportunity to gain hands-on experience preparing and cooking nutritious, farm-fresh foods. We highlight local agriculture and encourage students to make healthy eating choices and understand more about nutrition, farm-fresh foods, the culinary arts and school food systems.

Jr Iron Chef is a fundraiser for VT FEED and the Burlington School Food Project. To find out more about these programs, visit "Who We Are".
